    Travellers tales

NSW - Sydney - A Story from F. Morin, USA.
From F. Morin in the USA - My Sydney
    From: fmorin@ibm.net
My Sydney is from November to January. It's about landing in a country for a period of two months where I don't now anyone and nobody knows me. It's about discovering a large multicultural city, rich with its beautiful blue sky and plush green vegetation. A botanical garden right in the middle of the city and numerous bays hiding charming parks, (Elisabeth Bay). Lively streets greet you with busy cafes where the latte is as hot as the sun but still the greatest complement to an afternoon on a terrace, writing postcards (Stanley Street). If you have to shop, take a trip to Military Road on the North Shore or Oxford Street in Paddington where you will find local atmosphere without the tourist attractions. My Sydney is also full of taste and bursting with flavour ( Thai Land is the best Thai restaurant on King Street in Newtown). Sydney is where you'll find people who enjoy life (running in the park, surfing or toasting in the sun on a work day ). It's the place so far from here, when you come back from it, it is like waking up but wanting to fall asleep again to catch the dream...just once more.

We welcome your comments, advice, suggestions, recommendations and even your horror stories. Every story in Travellers Tales has been carefully checked. There are, as far as we can determine, no attempts at free publicity from proprietors masquerading as happy travelers.

If you have a tale to tell send us an email and we'll let others know about your experiences.
